What
is a casco insurance?
It is an insurance covering
the damage done to your vehicle. A partial casco doesn’t cover damage
done in a car crash (if you are responsible), whereas a full casco does.
The difference between partial
and full casco (also called integral casco) is getting less and less
clear. The trend is a modulated casco: you customize your casco without
really worrying about what you are responsible for and what you are not
and that is precisely what made the difference between a partial and a
full casco: the first covered the accidents for which you were not hold
responsible (hail, fire, collision with game, spite, etc), whereas the
second one protected you even if you were responsible.

There is more: Various kinds of additional
covers are available such as covers on personal belongings, risks of
parking or getting a replacement vehicle in case of accident.
Moreover, the value of your
vehicle is calculated with its price, accessories included. If you have
an accident, this data (and the age of your vehicle) will be used to
compensate you. A deduction can be requested from you, you can also
choose a deduction yourself in order to lower the premiums.
