How am I insured? Self-employed don’t need to subscribe to the obligatory insurance on accidents. Insured people working at least 8 hours a week are insured against nonprofessional accidents until the expiry of the 30th day following the expiry of their right to regular payment of at least 50% of usual wages. Part-time workers (less than 8 hours a week) are insured against accidents or diseases at work only, and against accidents occurring on the way to and back from work. This insurance cover expires with the end of the job contract. What do I have to do? It is recommended to sign up for an independent insurance on accidents or for an additional contract to your health insurance immediately after the expiry of these professional insurances. |
